Letter from the President
It is by divine decree that we were born in this land Libya and that we have come of age in a time when our nation faces one of its darkest periods of weakness and humiliation, the result of systematic ignorance, oppression, and tyranny imposed upon our people both internally and externally throughout the past century.
Yet, it is also by divine decree that we belong to a generation chosen by Allah—a generation that rejects the burdens of inherited ignorance and stagnation, and a generation that aspires to transform itself and its society
To the casual observer, Libya’s current state of intellectual, technological, and leadership deficiency may seem insurmountable, as if emerging from this crisis is nothing but an illusion. However, those who have studied the rise of civilizations, both past and present, recognize that every great revival was preceded by periods of profound weakness and despair.
